1954
Olson Transportation,
Inc. is founded by Wallace H. Olson. Doing business as Deerfield-Highland
Park Transit, he operated transit buses between Deerfield and Highland Park.
1958
School buses are added
to the fleet, servicing various schools on the North Shore.
1962
Motor coaches
are added to the fleet providing charter service across the nation and Canada.
1980
Base operations
are moved to the current location in Gurnee, Illinois.
1986
Coach fleet
is renamed to Midwest Motorcoach.
1989
Corporation
is renamed to Olson Transportation, Inc.
1990
Olson Transportation,
Inc. acquires Prairie State Charters. Adding their coaches to our growing
fleet makes our coach operation the largest and fastest growing in northern
Illinois.
2000
Ownership of
company is transferred to the Olson sons.
